Job Responsibilities
This is an Account Management role wherein you will develop and drive effective selling strategies for DTS' audio solutions in the Japanese OEM market. You will support your customers - Japanese automotive manufacturers and licensed OEM receiver suppliers - concerning the program development of DTS' Audio solutions. We will rely on you to make a strong case for automakers to standardize DTS' HD Radio and other audio technology solutions on all future media platforms.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities
• Support Japanese automotive manufacturers and licensed OEM receiver suppliers concerning DTS audio solutions program development. To be successful, you will:
- Make a convincing case for automakers to standardize DTS audio technology on all future media platforms by developing effective selling strategies
- Be able to effectively present information to customers
- Identify and maintain business and technical relationships with Japanese automakers and licensed suppliers
• Define and implement product development and launch activities (program manage). To be successful, you will:
- Learn the customer program development timing and share with key DTS personnel including engineering sample build dates, evaluation ride timing, certification dates, start of production dates and radio take rates
- Participate in vehicle/radio ride evaluations
- Support customer requirements
• Understand DTS features roadmap and rollout plans (Chip development, Advanced Features, Audio and Radio marketing facts, OEM digital situation) and effectively sell them to customers.
• Provide design direction to partners, which includes:
- Consulting on quote specifications
- Understanding the Chip partner roadmaps and providing initial guidance
- Giving product requirements guidelines
- Providing HMI input
- Providing Program Service Data information and how to handle on display
- Understanding the key components of partner audio and radio designs
• Discover plans for next generation audio and media systems, radios, applications, take rates and timing
• Assist with documentation review - Owners Manuals and vehicle brochures

Required Education and Experience
• Ideal candidate will have 10 years of proven success in program management and or sales account experience at a Tier 1 OEM supplier, preferably calling on Japanese OEM's
• At least five years of previous work experience with multimedia and telematic products in the automotive industry
• BS/BA degree, Master's degree preferred
• Ability to speak and write fluently in English and Japanese, including the use of both languages in a business setting
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
